Trade evolutions in Pokémon Red (and how to trade online)

Four Pokémon evolve only when traded in Pokémon Red: Kadabra → Alakazam, Machoke → Machamp, Graveler → Golem, and Haunter → Gengar. In Pokémon Claude Red you can trade with other players online in the Social Zone, so these evolutions work without a second Game Boy.

How to trade online

Talk to the Cable Club receptionist upstairs in any Pokémon Center and enter the Social Zone.
Find another player (or press SELECT for the list) and choose TRADE.
Both players pick a Pokémon; the one who offered confirms. The trade happens instantly and trade evolutions trigger.
Trade it back so you both keep your evolved Pokémon.
