Link battles and trades online in Pokémon Claude Red

Every Pokémon Center's Cable Club in Pokémon Claude Red leads to the Social Zone: one lounge shared by everyone online. You see other players walking around with name tags, can chat, challenge anyone to a link battle, trade Pokémon, or join the random-match queue.

How to battle someone

1. Go upstairs in any Pokémon Center and talk to the Cable Club receptionist.
2. Walk up to another player and press A, or press SELECT for the player list, and choose BATTLE.
3. Pick three Pokémon. When they accept, the battle starts at once: everyone battles at level 50, with no items and no EXP.

Random match

Talk to the LINK BATTLE desk and choose FIND A MATCH. You can keep walking around; your battle starts as soon as another trainer joins the queue.

Trading

Choose TRADE, pick a Pokémon, and the other player picks theirs. The player who offered confirms, and the trade happens instantly, trade evolutions included.

Battle Tower

The Social Zone also has a Battle Tower for level-50 win streaks against computer trainers, with Battle Points to spend on prizes.
